Jesus shows us the way of his kingdom
Jesus in the text responds what will be the result for those who live doing evil: the fiery furnace, image taken from the city dump, where the debris is continually burned; There is a permanent fire to burn everything. In Israel is a valley called GEENA, where, in the time of the kings, there was a furnace even to sacrifice the false gods Moloch. This image indicates hell, the state of those who despised the good, of those who abandoned the Word of God, those who made choices for themselves. The fiery fire becomes a symbol of exclusion and condemnation. In the end, what happens to those who have given up their lives in communion with God is the result of self-exclusion, self-abandonment. God does not exclude anyone and does not want it to happen, but he respects the freedom of choice of each one. Denying that there is condemnation means denying one's own freedom of choice. God made us free to say yes to Him, but unfortunately it was not added by human limitation. Hell is certainly not an end, for our only END is God. END in the sense of ultimate goal, purpose of our existence.
