JESUS WANTS TO SAVE US

The clarity of the teachings of Jesus belongs to His disciples. Jesus himself is the one who sows the good seed, who are the children of the Kingdom; The field is the world; The tares are the children of the evil one; The adversary is the devil; The harvest is the end of the world; The reapers are the angels. In fact, the text deals with an issue not only eschatologically, with emphasis not on sowing, but on the harvest, but also on the very reality of the Christian community. Therefore, it contradicts the messianic impatience of the followers of Jesus, distancing the idea of a community of "pure", disconnected from the reality of the world. The disciples should have their eyes fixed on the righteousness of God, even dwelling in a field also involved with injustice. It does not belong to them to do justice in any way, seeking immediately to eliminate the enemies. This would be a form of preservation of pharisaism, a clear expression of hypocrisy, since we are all sinners. Moreover, it would be a tremendous betrayal of both the teachings and the practice of Jesus himself. They do not belong to the harvest, but only the sowing.

2. Two attitudes mark this text: the enemy's attitude in causing the destruction of wheat; And the attitude of the farmer to keep even the tares so that no foot of wheat is lost. In addition, the patience of the farmer can be observed. His concern is with the future, that is, with the harvest, without losing any of His. On the other hand, it also signals the fate of those who live in enmity with God. One may even affirm the Lord's mercy, but nothing justifies a free life against faith, adversity, a sinful experience, and yet be welcomed as a "welcome" to the Kingdom of God. The glorious future depends, above all on God's initiative, but also on the conscious response of each one.

3. The Christian community develops in the midst of a world where many of the Lord's adversaries also inhabit it. The Church can not exist in the world apart from everything. It is not possible to comprehend a story with total clarity between good and evil nor to separate them absolutely in institutions and people while acting on a battlefield. The final separation will occur in the future, in the final judgment. Even within each one there is a real struggle of what is good against things that only hinder a life of holiness. It is necessary to keep alive in the battle, knowing that, as you stand before God, obeying His will and forming in the Word of Salvation, you strengthen your life and, by the grace of God, victory. Each and the community itself can not fall asleep in faith and good. Let the disciples be sponsors of good, be motivators of life and living in truth, always be bearers of salvation, just the opposite of those represented by the tares, who make others sin, doing evil. The end result is that for the disciples one owes communion with God, but for enemies, eternal damnation.

4. The Kingdom of God seems powerless in the face of evil in the world. The comparison with a grain of mustard reveals some important points to be deepened. We first see the mystery of the Incarnation of the Word. He being God wanted to be a human being, in a devalued social context, like that of Nazareth, without political and economic expression, without recognition before the authorities of Israel, place of poverty in every way, according to the thinking of men. In such reality it is placed in the likeness of a seed that must be placed under the earth in order to be able to sprout. When it grows, it does not embrace the glory of the world, the messianic yearnings of the people of God. On the contrary, he strictly follows the condition of Servant, without expression, seemingly without future, mocked by many, rejected by so many, calumniated of damn before the Lord. He dies like an excommunicate, hated by those for whom he was giving his life. On the other hand, he loved all of them, being the transparency of the Father's love for humanity, and of the Spirit, who allowed himself to be surrendered so that all would attain salvation. In fact, loving and being hated, he went to the earth as a seed, after having formed His own. On the THIRD DAY, He sprouted with all His strength, glorified and glorified house for those who identify with Him.
